COMPETITIONS & TRAVEL
Our Elite cheerleading teams attend 7-9 competitions per season. Spirit Zone teams compete at many local competitions and travel to places like Branson, Omaha, St. Louis, Nashville, Dallas, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, and Orlando to showcase their talents and compete agains the best teams in the country.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE TRYOUT?
During your athlete's tryout time, they will be evaluated on the jumps, tumbling, flexibility, and stunting. There will be instruction provided in each of those areas prior to assessing athlete ability. Your athlete does not need any prior experience or specific skills to effectively participate in tryouts. Staff will be available to answer any parent questions before and during the first 30 minutes of each tryout session. Tryouts are CLOSED to spectating, so we do ask that after your questions are answered, parents plan on leaving and returning for pick-up at the end of the tryout.
WHAT SHOULD MY ATHLETE WEAR?
*Spirit Zone practice wear from previous seasons or plain black/pink athletic attire.
*Hair up, bow preferred
*Cheer shoes (tennis shoes are acceptable for those that don't have cheer shoes yet)
WHEN WILL I PAY MY TRYOUT FEE?
You will pay your tryout fee at the time of your scheduled tryout. Payments are accepted via Venmo, our Parent Portal, or at the front desk.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TRYOUT?
After your tryout, our coaching staff will determine which team is likely the best fit for your athlete. You will be contacted with practice information for the team(s) we would like to see your athlete work out with.

WHEN WILL UNIFORMS BE BILLED FOR?
Final Pricing on Uniforms is $575.00
Our uniforms are used for 3 seasons!
Your uniform fee is due at the time of our fittings which will be scheduled very soon. If you'd like to pay prior to fittings, let us know! Bows, shoes, and undergarments (bra) are not included in uniform pricing. Athletes are required to wear a bra with no visible straps on the front, shoulders, or back of the uniform.
HOW WILL I ORDER MY UNIFORM?

WHEN WILL CHOREOGRAPHY DATES BE RELEASED?

WHAT TUMBLING CLASSES CAN MY ATHLETE ATTEND?
At Spirit Zone, we allow our Elite athletes to participate in unlimited tumbling classes! We prioritize the individual growth of our athletes and know that this growth facilitates greater success across our teams.
Mondays at 6pm and 7pm
Wednesdays at 6pm and 7pm
Thursdays at 7pm
We DO require athletes are consistent in which classes they attend to allow for appropriate staffing.
WHAT IS A "BID"?
HOW DO END OF SEASON EVENTS WORK?
Mini - Senior teams will attend competitions offering bids to end of season events and are eligible to accept these bids. The team must receive a score outscoring many other teams, even beyond their immediate division, in order to win a bid. For the 2022-2023 Season, we are accepting bids to the Youth Allstar Worlds (ASW) in Orlando, Florida. All teams that win bids will attend ASW.
WILL THERE BE OPPORTUNITIES TO ASK QUESTIONS OR BE GIVEN MORE INFORMATION?
Yes! We will be holding parent meetings to review important information, upcoming events, highlight specific areas of our parent handbook, etc. We'll be sending out additional information for parent meetings very soon.
Our first parent meetings will be July 11th and 12th!
